• IEA Summit on Clean Cooking in Africa (Paris): Advocated for bioenergy’s role in clean cooking.
• Global Pledges: Signed the Turin Joint Statement on Sustainable Biofuels and the Clean Cooking Declaration.
• GBEP Bioenergy Week (Rome): As a GBEP Observer, WBA participated in panels, demonstrations, and presentations during the 4-day event.
• BBEST IEA Bioenergy 2024 (Sao Paulo): Contributed to discussions, networking, and side events and hosted the General Assembly alongside this event. WBA was a supporter of the conference.
• COP29 (Baku): Co-hosted a side event with CII and WWE, held bilateral meetings, and reinforced bioenergy’s critical role in global climate solutions.
• IRENA Coalition for Action: As part of the coalition, WBA participates in Working Groups on 100% RE and community energy.
