This publication contains clear policy guidelines on how the European pellets market can be further developed in the coming years. So far, the european pellets sector represents 3% of the final bioenergy use in Europe (3,3 Mtons used for electricity and 3Mtons for heat), however, according to AEBIOM, this sector could represent 14% of bioenergy use in 2020 (75Mtons).
