It is a great privilege for having this opportunity to serve as the Executive Director of World Bioenergy Association. Having been a part of the association for the past 3.5 years, I am well aware of the various challenges and opportunities of the organization. As the leading global bioenergy association, we will continue our vision for promoting sustainable bioenergy worldwide and to create value for our members’ – says Bharadwaj Kummamuru.

WBA would like to express gratitude to Ms. Karin Haara for her excellent work in developing the organization. Her tireless efforts have increased the presence and value of the organization. She will continue providing valuable advice for WBA with her extensive knowledge of bioenergy and networks developed over the years.

It has been a challenging work to set up a global association. With the help of the former and current President, board members and members, we have built up a truly global network of bioenergy associations, companies and individuals. I wish Bharadwaj Kummamuru best wishes for the future of the association and I will continue assisting the development of the association in an advisory role.”– says Karin Haara

I congratulate Bharadwaj Kummamuru on his appointment. I also wish to thank Karin Haara for her service to the organization. We will continue our mission to promote sustainable development of all bioenergy sectors. The future development of bioenergy and WBA will focus on liquid biofuels for transportation, regional development of bioenergy in upcoming markets like Japan, China, Africa etc. Our ambition of setting up WBA branch offices will be important for such development” – says Remigijus Lapinskas, President, WBA.
